Polk County Convenience Centers
Notice: As of 9/9/2014,
residents must pay for ROUTINE HOUSEHOLD WASTE taken directly to the Grady Road Landfill. If you have bags of routine household waste, please take them to the convenience centers.

Polk County operates six staffed convenience centers for use by county residents to dispose of household waste. Commercial waste or waste generated by commercial operations is prohibited. All centers are open during the following hours:
Monday-Saturday: 7AM-6PM
Sunday: 1PM-5PM
All centers have recycling bins for cardboard, metal, plastic and paper.

The following items are
not accepted at any convenience center and must be taken to the Grady Road Landfill: scrap lumber, carpet, tires, and building materials.
